I started out writing this track simply to fit a piece of the story for the album, but the more I wrote the more I realized I was writing about myself. Before the crash we were already in a pretty terrible situation financially (post-covid), barely making it work, then basically everything in our life started falling in on top of us. I just had this incredible guilt and pain emotionally — some days more than physically. We were struggling and it was largely my fault. I think you can hear the pain & catharsis in the song, trying to sort out the acceptance piece of the whole situation. Writing it there were these moments that were so visceral— I just couldn’t ignore the strength of the emotion in it.
