Midwest Emo called, they said they want some chonky womps with a big chunky groove. I thought that was a bit forward seeing as we’d never met before, but I obliged. Damn it sure did turn out.
There’s some real pain and catharsis in this one, honestly akin to Letting Go in a way. You can hear it in the bridge. You can REALLY hear it in the last drop. This line sums it up:
“i’ll take the love and loss, to paint a memory that’s worth the cost”

Soooo we hauled a pile of gear into the woods and built a tiny venue around a rock to play some tunes. Completely reasonable idea right? 😅
In a shocking twist, turns out that takes a stupid amount of work. Scouting, hauling, building, shooting, editing, tearing it all back down — but the amount of sweat equity didn’t really matter. We were gonna do it regardless. We had one, singular goal.
To make a set that actually felt like the world the music comes from.
